Privacy Policy

Averin is an app for running AI coding agents on your own computers, servers and phone. This policy explains what information Averin handles, why, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@averin.sh.

The short version

• Averin works without an account. Without one, your projects and chats stay on your devices.
• If you sign in, we store what is needed to sync your workspace between your devices, and nothing else.
• We do not sell your data, show ads, or use analytics or tracking. This website sets no cookies.

Signing in with Google

Signing in is optional. When you choose "Sign in with Google", our authentication provider WorkOS receives from Google your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID. We use them only to create your Averin account, identify you on your devices and show who is signed in. Averin requests only the basic email and profile permissions. It never receives your Google password and cannot read your Gmail, Drive, contacts or any other Google data.

Averin's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What sync stores

When you are signed in, Averin's sync service keeps your devices up to date. It stores:

• the names of your devices, and the names and folder paths of your projects;
• your chats: titles, messages, agent replies, tool activity and the commands your devices send each other;
• images and files you attach to a chat;
• your settings that sync, such as pinned chats.

Your source code is not uploaded, except for any text or files that appear in a chat. Sync data is encrypted in transit and stored with Cloudflare. It is used only to provide sync to you.

Pairing with your own server

If you pair a device directly with your own Averin server instead of signing in, your data travels only between your devices and that server. We never see it.

AI providers

Averin runs the coding agents you choose (for example Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Grok) using your own accounts with those providers. Your prompts and the code the agents read are sent by those tools to their providers and are governed by the providers' own terms and privacy policies. Averin does not receive this data, apart from the chat contents it syncs for you when you are signed in.

Service providers

• Cloudflare: hosting and storage for the sync service and this website.
• WorkOS: sign-in and account management.
• Google: sign-in with your Google account.

They process data only to provide these services to us.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep sync data while your account exists. You can delete chats and projects in the app at any time. To delete your account and all of its sync data, email hello@averin.sh from the address you sign in with. We complete deletions within 30 days. Data stored on your own devices and servers stays under your control.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to object to how it is processed. Email us and we will help.

Children

Averin is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
