Terms of Service

These terms apply to the Averin apps (desktop, server and iPhone), the Averin sync service and this website. By using Averin you agree to them. Questions: hello@averin.sh.

What Averin is

Averin lets you run AI coding agents made by other companies on your own computers and servers, and follow them from your other devices. Averin is not an AI provider. The agents, and the accounts you use them with, are provided by their makers under their own terms, which you are responsible for following.

Your account

An account is optional and only needed for sync. Keep your sign-in secure. You are responsible for what happens through your account and your paired devices. Remove devices you no longer control.

Your content and your code

You keep all rights to your code, prompts, chats and files. You give us permission to store and transmit them only as needed to run the sync service for you.

Agents act on your behalf

Coding agents can read, change and delete files, run commands and use the network on the machines where you run them. Review what they do, use version control and backups, and only grant access you are comfortable with. You are responsible for the actions agents take on your machines and accounts.

Acceptable use

Do not use Averin or its sync service to break the law, to harm others, to attack or overload our systems or anyone else's, or to store content you have no right to. We may suspend accounts that do.

Availability and changes

We work to keep the sync service running but do not guarantee it will always be available or keep every feature. Averin is designed to keep working locally if sync is unavailable. We may change or discontinue the service, and will give reasonable notice where we can.

Open source

Averin includes open-source software, which is provided under its own licenses. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under those licenses.

No warranty

Averin is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data, code, profits or business, arising from your use of Averin or of the agents you run with it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending

You can stop using Averin and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may end access for accounts that break these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and significant changes will be announced in the app. Continuing to use Averin after a change means you accept the updated terms.
